Villa Alakaza,
our little paradise in Martinique
Welcome to our home. We hope you'll feel as good here as we do.
Who we are ...
From Canada to the Pyrenees, and then to a banana garden in Martinique — it was love at first sight. The love of a family of four, drawn to nature, the sea, and the desire to create somewhere different. No hotel here, no anonymity. Just our home, our story, and our genuine wish to share it with you.

This house sits in a quiet, green neighbourhood full of history, between outdoor activities and peaceful spots to relax.
The house in numbers
A house made to be lived in, not just visited. The numbers give you a first idea — the rest you'll discover on site.
Our family
Here's a little glimpse of the family welcoming you. There are four of us, we're all different, but look for what we have in common — you'll find it fast. Hint: it happens in the kitchen.
Marc-Antoine
The quick mind. Builder, fixer, cook: if something's broken or needs inventing, it's him. This house is largely his handiwork.
Flore
She paints, she writes, she overflows with creativity. And she eats with as much talent as she creates — especially the other three's cooking.
Augustin
The calming presence. Cool under any circumstance, formidable at chess, and at the stove. We're never quite sure which of the two he prefers.
Pierre
The most curious and the most mischievous of the family. He codes, he bakes, and he always finds a way to do both at once.
Welcome to our home!
We're a French-Canadian family of four — two adults, two kids — and this house is our home. Not a holiday home, not a rental investment. Our home. The one where, when we come back for six months or a year, we pull the trunks out from under the stairs and settle into happy chaos.
We work remotely, we travel a lot, and we love it deeply. In 10 years we've visited more than 40 countries and done 30 home exchanges around the world. What we look for wherever we go — and what we try to offer here — is simple: the real life of a real family, somewhere with soul.
Our other homes are in the Canadian Rockies and the Pyrenees, each in the middle of nowhere. If you'd ever like to visit, don't hesitate to ask.
The kids are growing up across several continents, learning remotely, and already speak two languages, almost three. It's not the easiest path, but it's ours.
In the kitchen you'll find a manual coffee maker, a kettle, a mandoline. My grandma's and my mum's recipes. We're not very high-tech around here (except for whisking egg whites — we made an exception).
What we love here? The quiet. The sea view. The hummingbirds passing over the pool in the morning. And our neighbours, who've become friends.
This house is yours for the length of your stay. Really make yourself at home.
